We have an opportunity for a Lettings Officer to join our unique and important customer facing team within our Lettings service.
The role
Our Lettings service is an everchanging service that evolves to the needs of the customers and the business. As our Lettings Officer, you will be responsible for the letting of all new build properties and re-let properties owned or managed by the Trust.
You will support our customers from the point of shortlisting them, carrying out accompanied viewings, sign ups, and providing pre-tenancy advice and support through our Ready Set Go process. You will work with the Void repairs team to ensure that properties are re-let in line with current targets, and you will liaise with the Incomes Team and 360 Support to ensure the effective management of customers rent accounts.
About you
Our customers are diverse and can be vulnerable so you will need to have a flexible, caring, understanding and positive approach.
We are looking for a Lettings Officer with knowledge and experience of the letting of properties and the ability to work under pressure. You will be able to demonstrate experience of working in a customer facing role and the ability to adapt communication style to suit individual needs.
You will also need to have excellent IT skills and the ability to learn new systems.
Experience of working within the housing sector and knowledge of housing law and practice would be advantageous however this is not essential.
The post holder will hold a current driving licence and will need access to a vehicle.
