We have an opportunity for a Family and Housing Support Officer to deliver low level support and coaching to customers and potential customers to help them maintain their home.
The Role
This is a customer centred role in which you will help sustain tenancies and prevent the risk of homelessness, as well as providing employment and budgeting help.
Working closely with the other teams in the business, you will look to prevent tenancy failure by giving advice and support on setting up their home, welfare benefits, budgeting, health issues and independent living skills. You will also provide employment coaching when requested.
About You
We are looking for an individual who has experience of using coaching models to enable customers to reach their full potential. Preferably with experience in Social Housing, you will have previously worked in a customer-based environment and therefore be confident in delivering difficult messages and challenging customers, as well as other professionals in a constructive way.
Being able to demonstrate a compassionate and open-minded approach to all customers, from all backgrounds are key to the role.
You are also required to hold a current valid driving licence and have access to an appropriately insured vehicle.
